The field of urban-rural development has a wide range, many types of objects, and complex interrelationships, which makes it difficult to form an industry-consensus standard system for calculating carbon emissions. The study systematically comprehends the current standardization situation related to the calculation of carbon emissions in the field of urban-rural development from three aspects, namely international standards, foreign standards and domestic standards, analyses the key issues related to the perspective and framework of analysis, the objects in the field of urban-rural development, carbon emissions, and the types and methods of calculation, and discusses how to connect the systems, delimit the scope of the emission sources, and express the calculation results. It also puts forward suggestions on how to improve the calculation standard system, clarify the boundaries of subdivided types and improve data quality, so as to provide theoretical references for the work related to the calculation of carbon emissions in the field of urban-rural development.
